Ensuring Your Safety
Whether you are walking or riding your bike at night it can be very dangerous. People aren’t visibly seen. It’s important to keep yourself protected and safe. There are different options to ensure safety.
Wearing bright reflective gear is one option. This option helps you be seen in the dark. Another option is safety lights. Riding your bike home or to a friends house you can put the lights right on the bike for better visibility. It is important to ensure your safety.
Walking Your Dog Safely In The Dark
A lot of accidents happen when it’s dark outside. You can be walking or jogging and if you don’t wear the right type of clothing then there is a good chance that you might get hit. Reflective clothing is a good way to make sure that you are noticed. Your chances of not getting hit doubles, when you’re prepared.
The same thing goes when you are walking your dog. They need to be as safe as you do. Pet blinkers are an excellent way for you to make sure that your pet is seen in the dark. Accidents are unexpected, but there are ways that you can help prevent them.
Staying Safe on Biking Commute
Bob, one of my best friend’s from college, recently moved to the People’s Republic of Boulder- 25 square miles surrounded by reality! Even though he works in the tech industry, Bob loves the great outdoors and has begun exploring the outdoor playground that is Colorado. As part of his outdoor exploration, green-friendly lifestyle, he commutes to work each day on his bicycle. During a recent phone conversation, he mentioned that during the winter it has become increasingly difficult to ride his bike home in the dark each day.
Rather than give up and start using his car (a Prius, naturally) I suggested he purchase bicycle safety lights. The bicycle lights give off bright, white LED light that will definitely light his way home. Better still; the lights can be set to blinking so that cars can see him as he rides by. I’m glad to say that he took my advice and has been able to continue safely commuting to and from work by bike.
